A STATEMENT FROM THE HONOURABLE DAVID. C. ONLEY, LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR ON THE
DEATH OF MARK DAILEY

TORONTO, Dec. 7 /CNW/ - I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my friend and colleague Mark Dailey. I extend my deepest sympathies to his entire family.  Mark fought his battles with cancer with dignity, courage and faith. 

We were colleagues for over 22 years and shared many, many hours of laughter in and out of the newsroom. Mark shared Christmas dinner with us one year when my children were small and they were impressed that the man who said "Citytv Everywhere!" was with us. 

Mark was the consummate professional reporter and anchor and I admired him greatly.  We have all lost a dear friend. My wife Ruth Ann and I offer our sympathies and prayers to his wife Kim and their family. God bless you and keep you Mark.
