The Government of Canada has provided almost $50,000 in funding for the startup of this Abitibi-Témiscamingue region business
VAL D'OR, QC, May 24, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
The day after Ékorce Kombucha held an open house at its production plant, the Government of Canada confirmed that a financial contribution of $47,750 had been awarded to the new business, whose products are already well-established at points of sale across Quebec, after only six months of existence.
This support ensured the startup of the SME, and allowed the company to upgrade its production plant facilities, acquire the equipment needed to produce its tea-based beverage, and set up a cold room that complies with required standards.
The funding, which took the form of a non-repayable contribution, was provided under CED's Quebec Economic Development Program, and resulted in the creation of three jobs in the region.
