MONTREAL, May 18, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - For its 50th anniversary, La Ronde is promising an EPIC 2017 season, with the launch of TITAN, a gigantic pendulum ride sure to delight thrill seekers, a very special edition of L'International des Feux Loto-Québec and a new collaboration with Montreal's famed Chef Jerome Ferrer. Running from May 20th all the way through October 29th, this season will be nothing less than titanesque.
Here's what's new for the 2017 season:
A Gigantic New Ride: The TITAN
Inspired by the legend of the Titans, those divine beings of the Greek Mythology synonymous with total domination, TITAN is a giant swaying pendulum towering at 45 metres in the air. It will propel riders at a speed of 112 km/h, for a hair-raising ride guests will want to experience again and again.
A Montreal flavor for L'International des Feux Loto-Québec
The 33rd edition of L'International des Feux Loto-Québec (IFLQ), running from July 1 to August 5, highlights the 375th anniversary of Montreal in a very special way. For the first time in IFLQ's history, Montrealers chose the countries invited to compete. They also voted for their favourite songs about Montreal to help create the beautiful soundtrack for Celebrate Montreal, the opening firework featuring a live performance by Ian Kelly. Montreal's own Serge Fiori collaborated on the season finale's soundtrack, which includes some of his and Harmonium's most beloved melodies.
Collaboration with Jerome Ferrer & Groupe Europea
La Ronde is proud to partner with famed Chef Jerome Ferrer this year, our exclusive caterer for the fireworks. With menus carefully crafted around the featured country of the evening, the entire VIP experience will captivate taste buds, eyes and ears. In addition, the Jerry's Mobile food truck will be at La Ronde all summer long, with a menu comprised of Jerome's most delicious creations.
