For the second time this month, a formerly obese person who has lost 100 pounds on Dr. Sanford Siegal's 35 year old weight-loss regimen is featured in TV news </pre> <p>LEXINGTON, Ky., <span class="xn-chron">Nov. 29, 2010</span> /CNW/ -- For the second time this month, someone who has lost 100 pounds on <span class="xn-person">Dr. Siegal</span>'s Cookie Diet, the venerable weight-loss approach created by renowned physician, author, and weight-loss expert <span class="xn-person">Sanford Siegal</span>, D.O., M.D., has been featured on their local TV station's evening news broadcast. Although he has achieved notoriety for books on topics such as high fiber diets, controlling hunger without drugs, and hypothyroidism, he's best known as "The Cookie Doctor" behind the popular <span class="xn-person">Dr. Siegal</span>'s Cookie Diet weight-loss system.</p> <p/> <p><span class="xn-person">Dr. Siegal</span> conceived the idea of a diet based on a hunger-controlling cookie in the early 1970s while writing a book about natural food substances that are particularly effective at satisfying hunger. He engineered a food to control hunger and enable his patients to stick to the low-calorie diet that he favors. After a number of years of experimentation, <span class="xn-person">Dr. Siegal</span> developed a formula for a particular mixture of amino acids that resulted from combining certain food substances.
