MONTREAL, April 17, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) congratulates the 17 schools that qualified to attend the 13th edition of the BDC E-Spirit Business Plan Competition. From May 14 to 16, 2013, 35 student teams will make their way to Kamloops, British Columbia to compete in the BDC E-Spirit finals.
BDC E-Spirit is a 16-week Internet-based business plan competition that provides Aboriginal students in grades 10 to 12 with interactive business planning resources, online access to mentoring and extensive networking opportunities.
"BDC E-Spirit gives students a first taste of the business world," said Wilson Neapew, National Director, Aboriginal Banking Unit at BDC. "Throughout the competition, participants get to put entrepreneurship principles into practice, collaborate with peers in an intense, team environment, and gain hands-on leadership experience."
