ABSOLUT celebrates Vancouver arts with up to $120,000 donation

Vancouverites invited to submit proposals for local art project

VANCOUVER , Oct. 6 /CNW/ - ABSOLUT Vodka is donating up to $120,000 in support of Vancouver art, as part of the brand's mandate to promote the growth of creative communities worldwide.

Local artists and related organizations are invited to submit proposals for art projects they would like to bring to life in the Vancouver area.

Interested parties have until October 31st to submit entries at www.facebook.com/ABSOLUTVancouver. Starting November 10th Vancouverites will have the opportunity to vote online for one of the top ten qualifying submissions. The winning entry will be announced in spring 2010.

ABSOLUT will unveil the top 10 submissions at an exclusive media event in November. This event is tied to another exciting new initiative - the first of its kind in Canada - that will be announced simultaneously with the top 10 submissions.
