ABVMA Announces New 2016 President, Dr. Kevin MacAulay
EDMONTON, March 2, 2016 /CNW/ - The Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) is very pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin MacAulay has been appointed to the position of ABVMA president.
Dr. MacAulay is a companion animal practitioner and the owner of Glamorgan Animal Clinic in Calgary, AB.
Kevin was born and raised in Calgary. He completed a bachelor of science degree, majoring in zoology from the University of Calgary. After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with distinction at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM), University of Saskatchewan in 2002, Kevin completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency at the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), University of Guelph.
Dr. MacAulay has volunteered on the ABVMA Companion Animal Advisory and the Practice Inspection and Practice Standards (PIPS) Committees. Kevin joined the ABVMA Council in February 2013.
Outside of the clinic, Kevin enjoys playing hockey and golf, volunteering with his local church and with his children's school and extra-curricular activities. You may also find him attending Calgary Stampeder football and Calgary Hitmen hockey games. He loves spending time with his wife Carla, three young children and his miniature schnauzer.
