Acadian Mining announces highlights of AGM, appointment of new director and
grant of options

HALIFAX, June 25 /CNW/ - Acadian Mining Corporation (TSX: ADA) ("Acadian" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that at the Annual and Special Meeting held on June 24, 2010 ("AGM"), the shareholders re-appointed the directors, namely Jascha Boge, Peter Lee, Allan Trench, Menachem Vorchheimer and Glenn Williams to hold office until their successors are duly elected or appointed. Smythe Ratcliffe, LLP of Vancouver, British Columbia was appointed as auditor of the Corporation until the next annual meeting of shareholders or until its successor is duly appointed.
Following the AGM, the board of directors met and added a new member to the board - Grant Ewing, who was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation on June 24, 2010. Mr. Ewing was granted 5,000,000 stock options exercisable for common shares of the Corporation at an exercise price of $4.5 cents per share until June 24, 2015. The options vest 1/3 immediately, 1/3 in 12 months and 1/3 in 24 months.
