Accès Montréal event pass for Mosaïcultures Internationales 2013

MONTREAL, May 22, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - This morning, the Executive Committee unanimously agreed to recommend to City Council that an Accès Montréal event pass ("CAM-événement") be added to the Botanical Garden's rate structure during Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal 2013. This pass—aimed at Accès Montréal cardholders and sold for $25 (adult rate)—will offer unlimited access to the Botanical Garden during opening hours throughout the duration of the event, from June 22 to September 29.

The Montréal Space for Life hosts the Mosaïcultures Internationales event as part of its cultural and educational outreach mission. Through this magnificent, one-of-a-kind exhibition of horticultural art and competition, great numbers of visitors will discover—or rediscover—this world-renowned institution and the expertise of its craftspeople.

Thanks to the close cooperation between the Botanical Garden's horticultural experts and those associated with Mosaïcultures Internationales, the 40 or so giant horticultural sculptures that embody the event's "Land of Hope" theme—which is very much in keeping with the mission of the Space for Life—are incorporated into the site with the greatest respect for the integrity of the Garden's priceless collections.

This international horticultural competition is an opportunity to raise the profile of the Botanical Garden, the Space for Life and the City of Montréal on the global stage. It furthermore promotes the city's East End and showcases the horticultural expertise found in Montréal and Québec.

The event pass provides Accès Montréal cardholders with further options for attending the Mosaïcultures Internationales event in addition to those already available: a two-day pass ("CAM—2 jours") for $18.75 (adult rate) and one-day free admission to all Accès Montréal cardholders on July 6.

Once ratified by City Council (voting to take place on May 27 and June 17), the rates for admission to the Botanical Garden during the Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal will be as follows (additions in bold):
