Accomplished commercial broker Marc Lunde joins Avison Young in Denver

Commercial real estate industry veteran becomes Principal

DENVER, CO, March 5, 2013 /CNW/ - Alec Wynne, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Denver office, announced today that accomplished commercial real estate broker Marc Lunde has joined Avison Young in Denver.

Effective immediately, Lunde joins Avison Young as a Principal and will focus on serving clients' office leasing needs. He will join a five-person team in the Denver office to serve the real estate needs of the Rocky Mountain region and other domestic cities. Lunde was most recently a Senior Vice-President with DTZ, a UGL company (formerly Equis).

A 27-year veteran of the Denver commercial real estate market, Lunde has managed a portfolio of both national and local clientele. Specializing in large branch and headquarters solutions, he has successfully completed transactions in most major U.S. cities. Notably in 2012, he completed a lease for MarkWest Energy that expanded the oil and gas partnership into 225,000 square feet over 11 floors in Tower 1 of 1515 Arapahoe. This marked the largest lease transaction in Denver in 2012. Additionally, Lunde has extensive portfolio expertise and has represented several Fortune 500 companies.

Lunde's past and current clients include Scholastic Corp., CableLabs, ITT Education, Pason Systems, Cochlear Corp., Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design (RMCAD), Ryder TRS, Verio, Wells Fargo, Prudential, St. Mary Land & Exploration, Western Mining, State of Colorado, National American University and U.S. Education.

Lunde most recently served as a Senior Vice-President with DTZ in Denver (2007 to 2013) where he managed a significant portfolio of transactions and was a top producer for DTZ's U.S. operations. Before that, he co-owned Cresa in Denver for seven years, managing the local operations as well as a full slate of representation assignments. Prior to that, he founded, owned and operated Lunde Commercial/Mohr Partners for nine years while serving as the firm's Managing Principal. He later merged the company with Cresa and became the expanded organization's majority shareholder.

Lunde holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Management from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

Avison Young opened its Denver office in December 2012 and today has 13 real estate professionals. Over the past four years, the company has grown from 11 to 43 offices and from 300 to more than 1,100 real estate professionals across Canada and the U.S.
