ACE Canada(R) Appoints Bruce Walker as Chief Financial Officer
TORONTO, Aug. 11 /CNW/ - ACE Canada, the Canadian-based operating division of the ACE Group, today announced the appointment of Bruce Walker as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Walker will have overall responsibility for ACE Canada's finance and information technology groups, and will provide leadership in budget management, financial reporting, internal controls, audit, and the strategic direction of its information technology division. Mr. Walker will report to David Brosnan, Chief Executive Officer, ACE Canada.
"Bruce brings a wealth of insurance leadership to the role, with a strong concentration in the area of financial management," said Mr. Brosnan. "In addition to his rich insurance experience in such countries and regions as the United States, Latin American and the United Kingdom, Bruce possesses larger capabilities in the areas of information technology, governance and key stakeholder relations."
Mr. Walker's insurance career spans approximately 20 years, and he joins ACE from a directorship with a privately-held financial consultancy firm in the United States. Prior to this role, Mr. Walker held a variety of senior financial leadership positions within Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group. Mr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from McGill University, and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
