ACE to Mark 25th Anniversary with Global Day of Service
TORONTO, Oct. 21 /CNW/ - ACE Canada®, the Canadian-based operating division of the ACE Group, today announced that the Company will observe its 25th anniversary by participating in a global day of service. ACE Canada employees will join their colleagues from around the world by contributing their time to a variety of local community service projects.
On Friday, October 22, more than 7,500 ACE employees, or approximately half of the company's global workforce, in 46 countries, are expected to participate in more than 200 volunteer projects.
"To commemorate our anniversary, we are extending our appreciation to the communities that have supported us through these past 25 years," said Evan Greenberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ACE Limited. "I want to particularly thank our employees, who believe that insuring progress begins in our own neighbourhoods."

ACE Canada employees will participate in the following activities:
East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club: Assist the agency in implementing their High Five Activities day as part of their after school curriculum. As the benefactor of ACE Canada's annual Stuff the Bus campaign, ACE employees are well acquainted with the work of this agency.
ACCES: ACE Canada employees will coach job seekers who are principally new immigrants to Canada by providing consultative advice on effective interview techniques and resume review.
Horizons for Youth: Participate in Horizons for Youth's Revitalize 2010 initiative by undertaking such activities as cooking, painting and cleaning at the facility.
The Good Neighbours' Club: Assist the chef in creating a four course meal for the agency's members.
Mid Toronto Community Services: Help seniors and adults with disabilities by assisting the agency's staff with transportation to and from a planned group activity.
University Settlement Recreation Centre: Participate in the Out of the Cold program by preparing and serving dinner for University Settlement's homeless clients.
Sistering - A Woman's Place: Assist in preparing lunch for Sistering's 200+ homeless and under-housed clients.
