PLANO, TX, March 23 /CNW/ - In recent research on the messaging market in the U.S., Acision, a world leader in mobile data, was recognized as the number one vendor of the world's leading mobile data service, SMS. Acision has more than a 60 percent market share of total mobile subscriptions in the U.S., as of end-4Q09, as calculated by Informa Telecoms & Media, further highlighting Acision's global leadership in mobile messaging and data services.

Informa forecasts that SMS traffic in the US will almost double over the next five years, reaching 1.7 trillion messages in 2014 and generating US$18.2 billion in revenues.
