According to a recent survey[1] by the Institute of Internal Auditors, a top concern of Chief Audit Executives is identifying and managing risks to align with strategic business goals. However, auditors are often burdened with endless, lower-value procedural tasks and documentation. "Audit Management Re-Imagined" will explore new approaches to audit management that enable audit teams to focus on big picture issues that advance executive priorities.
"If internal audit is adequately equipped with modern technology, the team can maximize the value they bring across their entire organization and to other teams," said Nilisha Agrawal, GRC Program Manager at Equinix and guest speaker at the San Jose event. "I'm a big supporter of GRC consolidation. If various departments take the opportunity to collaborate together on one platform, it can help streamline business processes and increase efficiency and productivity."
Each stop on the tour will feature customer success stories, networking opportunities, and roundtable discussions. It is a "must attend" for Chief Audit Executives, Vice Presidents, and Directors of internal audit, compliance, and risk management from companies of every size.
"There is a certain power an organization can gain from adopting a technology-driven approach to audit management," said Dan Shelly, CPA, CIA, MBA, Internal Audit Manager of Compliance and Audit Services at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and guest speaker in New York City. "Since moving to a centralized, cloud-based system, my team has saved a significant amount of time previously spent cross-referencing paper files, transforming our entire process and allowing us to focus our resources on delivering impactful results."
