ACL's Fall '17 Software Release Brings Complete Data Automation to Enterprise Governance and Risk Management
Software leader also introduces tightly integrated content and intelligence into platform workflow
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 15, 2017 /CNW/ -- ACL, the software provider helping governments and the world's largest companies quantify risk, stamp out fraud and optimize performance, today announced its Fall '17 software release, which transforms governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) activities from looking back to looking forward. This release enables organizations to run a well-governed organization in real time. It's also the first GRC platform to seamlessly embed GRC knowledge content into daily workflow.
"The obligation of governance already exists, but teams providing risk management and assurance are too small to do the job alone, meaning automation and collaboration must step up to fill the void," comments Dan Zitting, chief product officer at ACL. "Data automation means teams can do more, and embedded best practice content means teams know more. These enhancements to the ACL Platform enable that combination so risk management, compliance and assurance teams can multiply their impact."
REAL-TIME, DATA-DRIVEN RISK AUTOMATION
Key risk indicators (KRIs) that provide predictive value on what is likely to happen enable organizations to navigate their business to success more reliably. The ACL Platform is now not only able to provide those KRIs by monitoring unlimited populations of corporate data, but to actually use the KRIs to drive enterprise risk management processes and management/board level risk heatmaps in real time. With truly analytic-driven risk assessment based on an organization's actual data, management and board members can know the exact state of the organization's risk at any time, without needing to compile various reports and updates—enabling them to make faster, risk-quantified decisions.
"Governance metrics ensure good communication between risk management and the board, ensuring the time spent with the board is appropriate, effective, and proactive when possible,"1 wrote Renee Murphy, a principal analyst at Forrester.
SOCIAL & IT DATA MONITORING AND ANALYSIS
Data automation tools are key to helping audit, risk, and compliance professionals monitor key processes, risks and controls by watching and analyzing relevant data streams and resolving identified "red flag" events. The ACL Platform is the first GRC platform to monitor data streams from social media and IT user systems such as emails, Twitter, Microsoft Active Directory, ServiceNow and more. Advanced analysis options for data acquired from those sources is available to collectively enable correlation and pattern spotting that can catch risky user or employee behavior in real time.
