ACMO Celebrates 40 Years Leading the Condominium Management Profession
TORONTO, May 5, 2017 /CNW/ - The Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO) celebrates 40 years leading the condominium management profession through education, member services, and public awareness. Our membership of 2,000 property managers and associated professionals represents the best in the condominium industry.
"My vision was that together we could create our own unique industry standards," said John Dzenekoj, ACMO's first RCM designation recipient. "This would provide clients with consistency in service and significantly better value. In return, managers and management companies would gain respect, support and industry pride."
To commemorate the occasion, ACMO held its Anniversary Celebration on April 21, 2017 at the Toronto Congress Centre. With more than 400 people in attendance, the event welcomed many founders and early members including ten of the organization's past presidents. Robert Weinberg, ACMO President, acted as Master of Ceremonies recognizing thirty-, thirty-five-, and forty-year members, as well as those who most recently received the Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) designation.
In addition to long-time member awards, two Life Member Awards were presented to individuals who have been members of ACMO for 39 and 35 years, respectively, and have demonstrated a commitment to elevating and bringing credibility to the profession: Richard Pearlstein and Ray Wilson.
Forty years has brought exceptional change and growth for the industry, and ACMO is pleased to be at the forefront of the condominium management profession.
ACMO was formed in 1977 to enhance the condominium management profession in Ontario by advancing the quality performance of condominium property managers and management companies. ACMO's signature Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) designation and ACMO 2000 Certification programs place ACMO above the crowd in Ontario's ever-expanding condominium industry.
