<p>MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, <chron>Dec. 14</chron> /CNW/ -- Active International, the global leader in corporate trade, today announced the appointment of <person>Veronica Low</person> as Vice President, Business Development and Sales.</p>

<p>Low brings 25 years of media and sales experience to Active and will focus on growing key accounts in the Canadian marketplace. Fluently bilingual, her expertise in sales, marketing and media gives her a unique ability to connect with clients in the province of <location>Quebec</location> and provide additional insight into their needs.</p>
<p/>
<p>Low has a keen insight able to help marketers connect with their core consumers, and has brought to the table and executed solution-driven marketing plans targeting several sectors, including automotive, consumer packaged goods and retail industries.</p>
<p/>
<p>Prior to joining Active, Low most recently was Director, Business Development for CBS Radio <location>Quebec</location>, where she created a new division uniting three major broadcasters in <location>Quebec</location> and increased market share for CBS Radio <location>Quebec</location>, for the past 2 consecutive years.  Prior to that role, Low was Director, Business Development for Astral Media Radio where she developed new business categories and raised the profile of AMR in the <location>Toronto</location> Marketplace and on the national level.</p>

<p>Other positions included sales/account executive responsibilities at Z103.5FM as well as KISS 92FM, 92.5 CISS FM, CFMXFM Classical 96 and CKO 1470 AM <location>Montreal</location>.</p>

<p>Low has a B.A., Political Science/Mass Communications from Carleton University. She sits on the Board of Directors of The Broadcast Executive Society (B.E.S.) and is the Vice President; she will step into the role of President next year. An avid equestrian and down-hill skier, Low is also a past civilian volunteer with The 140 <person>Aurora Royal</person> Canadian Air Cadets and taught broadcast sales at Ryerson University in 2008.</p>
