ADAMA Canada Launches #ThankARetailer Contest

Winning ag retails will receive $15,000 to donate to local causes

WINNIPEG, Nov. 23, 2016 /CNW/ - ADAMA Canada launched its inaugural #ThankARetailer contest today. The contest will award four outstanding agri-retailers with a grand prize of $15,000 each to donate to worthy causes in their communities.

"Retailers are the unsung heroes of the agriculture industry," said Andrew Mann, CEO of ADAMA Canada. "We have seen first-hand how hard they work to make farmrers successful, which has a big impact in communities across the country. This contest is our way of recognizing this hard work and supporting the communities in which our retailers live and do business."

The #ThankARetailer contest is unique in that it encourages growers to show appreciation for the hard work of their local agri-retailers, while giving back to worthwhile causes in Canadian communities.

Growers can nominate their outstanding agri-retailer at ThankARetailer.ca and vote for them a maximum of once per day to help them win. Voting is open to all Canadians with a valid email address. The contest closes on February 28, 2017, and winners will be selected before the end of March.
