Participant Funding Available
OTTAWA, ON, April 9, 2025 /CNW/ - Funding provided by the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) is now available to help Indigenous Peoples and the public participate in the impact assessment process for the proposed Adding Capacity to Sainte‑Marguerite‑3 Generating Station Project, which involves the installation of a third generating unit, as well as the construction of an underground penstock at the existing Sainte-Marguerite-3 power station located near Sept-Îles, Quebec.
Funding is available for eligible individuals and groups to support their participation in the planning phase of the federal impact assessment process. During the current comment period, which ends on April 26, 2025, Indigenous Peoples and the public are invited to review the summary of the Initial Project Description and provide comments. IAAC will retroactively reimburse eligible participants for their participation costs in this comment period.
Applications received by May 9, 2025, will be considered.
