MONTREAL, June 23, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Consumers can now find close to 45 additive-free marinated dishes from Les Prêts-à-cuire du boucher and Les Prêts-à-cuire du poissonnier line of prepared dishes at all IGA stores throughout the province. These products with pared-down ingredient lists are available at service counters and on store shelves; the aim is to respond to the needs of Quebecers who are increasingly careful about what they eat.
Which additives are we talking about?
In partnership with suppliers, IGA has improved the 30 marinated meat dishes and 15 fish and seafood dishes that are prepared in marinades with:
- No preservatives
- No artificial colours
- No artificial flavours
- No added sulphites
Les Prêts-à-cuire dishes are clearly identified in store. There's honey-mustard pork tenderloin or Dijon beef flap steak for those who prefer more traditional meals, while the more adventurous can opt for tamari salmon, chipotle salmon, or shish-taouk chicken breast.
The joy of healthy eating
This new offer goes hand in hand with The Joy of Eating Better, launched by IGA in May 2014 to inspire Quebecers to eat better. How? By encouraging them to make responsible choices, eat healthier, discover local and international flavours, and cook differently and more often. IGA is happy to offer its customers these high-quality marinated dishes that provide quick, easy-to-prepare meal alternatives that are not only healthier, but also a joy to eat.
