HÉBERTVILLE-STATION, QC, Sept. 8, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
Adex Systems will be able to increase its production capacity, continue to grow and consolidate jobs for Lac-Saint-Jean families thanks to $352,500 in financial assistance, in the form of a repayable contribution, granted by Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.
Denis Lemieux, Member of Parliament for Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, made the announcement this afternoon in the company's offices.
Adex Systems is a leading Canadian manufacturer of architectural coatings. Its acrylic coatings offer a range of innovative solutions that seal and insulate the building envelope and provide high-performance thermal insulation. The funding awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) will help Adex Systems acquire new production equipment, expand and modernize the plant, and obtain accreditation for new products in accordance with Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) standards, while maintaining 26 jobs in Hébertville-Station.
Communities need to build on innovation to diversify themselves strategically and develop lasting regional competitive advantages. As such, support for community transition and diversification is a priority for the Government of Canada.
