MIRABEL, QC, April 15, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) welcomes Transport Minister Marc Garneau's decision to proceed with the sale of 748 acres of surplus land from the former Mirabel airport reserve and to continue discussions with various Mirabel stakeholders regarding the transfer of future surplus lands for a more industrial use.
"This is an important first step in the process and the government can count on our collaboration," said Martin Massé, Vice President, Public Affairs, ADM.
ADM supports the City of Mirabel's initiative and is ready to cede a portion of industrial-use land at the airport site. These are lands that do not directly respond to a use related to the aeronautical mission of the Mirabel site.
