ADP Canada and Eastern College partner to provide job experience for Halifax-based students

HALIFAX, Jan. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - ADP Canada, a leading provider of human resources, payroll and benefits solutions, announced today a partnership with Eastern College to bring on-the-job experience to Halifax-based students.

Beginning today, 11 Eastern College students will start a new co-op placement at ADP's Dartmouth office following a competitive hiring process.

Working with ADP Customer Service Representatives, the students will be in a position to develop relationships with businesses across Canada and assist them in finding solutions to meet a variety of business needs.

"This is a great opportunity for our students to gain solid work experience assisting them in building their careers," says Debra Johns, Vice President, Campus Operations, Eastern College. "Their placements at ADP will give them an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and complement their education with real work experience."

The entry level positions are a starting point for these students. After completing the six week placement, which includes one week of formalized training, the students will return to school to complete their program. Upon completion, students may be offered a full-time position at ADP.
