ADP Canada National Employment Report: Employment in Canada Increased by 42,800 Jobs in March 2018 Français
TORONTO, April 19, 2018 /CNW/ - Employment in Canada increased by 42,800 jobs from February to March according to the March ADP® Canada National Employment Report. Broadly distributed to the public each month, free of charge, the ADP Canada National Employment Report is produced by the ADP Research Institute®. The report, which is derived from actual ADP payroll data, measures the change in total nonfarm payroll employment each month on a seasonally-adjusted basis.

"Overall, Canada experienced robust hiring in the month of March despite a tepid performance in some industries," said Ahu Yildirmaz, vice president and co-head of the ADP Research Institute. "While there were losses in finance, information and education, they were outpaced by significant growth in the construction industry."
The February total of jobs added was revised down from 32,700 to 16,200.
