MONTREAL, Feb. 25, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The new leader of the Quebec Conservative Party said yesterday that he opposes Bill 14 and Bill 20.
Speaking yesterday at the party's general council in Trois-Rivières, Mr. Adrien D. Pouliot called Bill 14 "a solution looking for a problem". "Mme Marois is fanning the flames of dissent to break the delicate linguistic harmony that now exists among Quebecers. If it ain't broke, why fix it"? he asked.
Mr. Pouliot also blasted Bill 20. "It's another attack on our rights and freedoms. Everybody is horrified when mentally sick people commit mass murders but is that a reason to treat 500 000 honest owners of hunting rifles who have their federal government firearms licence as quasi-criminals" he asked? The Quebec Conservative Party is the only party publicly opposed to the registry.
