Advertising & Design Club of Canada Names DDB Canada Interactive Agency Of The Year
Agency awarded Scarlet Letter and 41 awards from 64th annual Directions show
TORONTO, Nov. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Last night, DDB Canada was presented with a prestigious Scarlet Letter and was named Interactive Agency of the Year (IAOY) by the Advertising & Design Club of Canada (ADCC) at the 64th annual awards show Directions. This marks the second year-in-a-row DDB Canada has been honoured with the exclusive Scarlet Letter prize, which recognizes excellence in interactive media.
"Scarlet Letters are awards that you always hope for, but never expect, because they represent the standard for Canada," says Kevin Drew Davis, chief creative officer, DDB Canada. "We are incredibly proud and humbled to have received such an honor because it acknowledges our commitment to creativity and digital across the country."
The Interactive Scarlet Letter accolade falls on the heels of DDB Canada's digital group, Tribal Worldwide being named strategy's 2013 Digital Agency of the Year. This win further bolsters the agency's strength in powerful digital storytelling, and strategic, idea-driven approach to building modern brands.
The ADCC's Directions awards are designed to encourage and promote the highest professional standards and are among the most widely recognized for excellence in Canada's creative community. DDB Canada and Tribal Worldwide took home 41 out of the 397 Directions awards given out for exceptional work in advertising, graphic design, editorial & book design and interactive media. In total, the agency was awarded with five Gold, 13 Silver and 23 Merit Direction awards for the following work:
