ADVISORY - Special Fathers of Confederation train in honour of Canada's 150th birthday arrives in Ottawa Wednesday
Mayors of Ottawa, Montreal arrive for FCM meeting
OTTAWA, May 30, 2017 /CNW/ - A special Fathers of Confederation train celebrating Canada's 150th birthday will arrive in Ottawa Wednesday afternoon with Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre, Charlottetown, P.E.I., Mayor Clifford Lee and other mayors attending this week's annual general meeting of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
The mayors will be joined on board for the trip from Montreal by CN representatives and the Confederation Players, a Prince Edward Island-based troupe of costumed, young, bilingual Canadian actors trained to reenact the Fathers and Ladies of Confederation.
The public and media are invited to a photo op and short welcome program with mayors, CN representatives, MPs and the Confederation Players.
