Who: The Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) proudly welcomes more than 250 operations and maintenance professionals from across Canada and the United States, as well as accredited media to gather at CanWEA's 5th Annual Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Summit at the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale, January 29-30. Limited space is available for accredited media.
What: The CanWEA O&M Summit, which includes an exhibition featuring over 25 leading companies in the sector, is developed with O&M professionals to help Canadian wind operators and service providers make informed decisions on operating their wind energy portfolios in Canada. Topics to be discussed include the growing connection of people, technology, organizations, policy development, and experience that is pushing rapid O&M advancements; new ideas from researchers and entrepreneurs; new products and services; start-ups and the innovation pathway; the strong focus on health and safety; and much more. Please see our detailed program. CanWEA will present two annual Operations and Maintenance Awards during the Summit. The Operations and Maintenance Outstanding Achievement Award honours an organization that has demonstrated an innovative, industry-leading approach to wind facility O&M. The finalists for this award are Capstone Infrastructure and TECHÉOL inc. Finalists for the Health and Safety Award, which recognizes excellence in this critical area of wind farm operations, are Kruger Energy Port Alma LP & Chatham LP and Vestas Canadian Wind Technology.
