Aecon awarded $16 million MTO contract for Hwy 11 upgrade in Northeastern

TORONTO, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - Aecon Group Inc. (TSX:ARE) announced today that its Infrastructure division has been awarded a $16.2 million contract by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to upgrade Highway 11, north of New Liskeard, Ontario.
Under the contract, Aecon will upgrade the 27.6 km section of Highway 11 from the south junction of Highway 569 north to the Englehart River Bridge. Work on the project includes grading, storm drainage, electrical and paving. Construction has started with completion expected by October 2011.
