EDMONTON, Aug. 24, 2015 /CNW/ - The first annual report of the Alberta Environmental Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Agency (AEMERA) is now available online at aemera.org. This inaugural annual report tells the story of AEMERA to date, including the Agency's milestones and accomplishments in getting established and becoming operational.
On April 28, 2014, with the proclamation of the Protecting Alberta's Environment Act, AEMERA was officially established as an arm's length, provincial agency responsible for measuring, assessing and informing the public on the condition of Alberta's environment.
The important work highlighted in the AEMERA 2014-2015 Annual Report outlines many of the imperative first steps that the Agency has taken, as a brand new organization, with its many partners and stakeholders across the province.
The report can be downloaded from the homepage of AEMERA's website, http://aemera.org/. Printed copies are available by request.
