MONTRÉAL, April 25, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - On the occasion of its annual general meeting, Aéro Montréal, Québec's aerospace cluster, reported positive results for 2015. The event was held today at the Palais des congrès de Montréal and attended by more than 200 major industry players.
"The Québec aerospace cluster is heavily involved with all industry stakeholders to enable our sector to remain among the world leaders," said Hélène V. Gagnon, Vice President, Public Affairs and Global Communications, CAE, and Chair of Aéro Montréal's Board of Directors. "Our challenge is enormous because we operate in a highly competitive sector. Our companies need to remain innovative and focus their business strategies on diversifying their international customer base to maintain their leadership on the international stage. Aéro Montréal is here to support them in this regard."
In 2015, the many industry members actively involved in Aéro Montréal's six working groups advanced their business priorities. "We have developed customized projects that respond to the challenges faced every day by aerospace companies and support them in their development," said Suzanne M. Benoît, President of Aéro Montréal. "We continued to work with the government to obtain all the support necessary for the Québec aerospace cluster to retain its status as the world's best performing cluster."
