AGF Launches Community Coach of the Year Award

Recognizing the value of advice on and off the field

AGF Investments Inc. (AGF) today announced the launch of the AGF Community Coach of the Year Award to recognize financial planners and advisors who volunteer their time to coach an amateur sports team and promote the ideals of dedication, sportsmanship and team work.

"With this award, we want to recognize the value of advice on and off the field. We see advisors as personal financial coaches," explains Blake Goldring, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AGF Management Limited. "Advisors are key to helping investors make a game plan to help them achieve their financial goals – whether it's paying off debt, saving to buy a house and or building a retirement nest egg."

The AGF Community Coach of the Year Award is launching in conjunction with our partnership with the Canadian Football League (CFL), which includes sponsorship of the CFL's Coach of the Year Award and a multimedia campaign that promotes the value of professional advice.

"The CFL is proud of its partnership with AGF, which recognizes leaders on our sidelines and in the community," said Jeffrey L. Orridge, Commissioner of the Canadian Football League. "We encourage our fans to nominate financial advisors who build stronger portfolios by day, and better athletes and young people in their spare time, for this very special award."

Nominators are asked to submit photos and/or videos of the coach as well as stories on how the coach has positively impacted their team and community. The nominations can be submitted through www.AGF.com/CommunityCoach.

The CFL will award the winner a 2016 Grey Cup® weekend for two, which includes two economy round-trip flights to Toronto from an international Canadian airport, for three days, two nights double occupancy accommodation (one room for two people) in a four-star hotel from November 25th to 27th, 2016, and two tickets to the Grey Cup® in Toronto on November 27th, 2016. In addition, AGF will make a $5,000 donation to a registered charity of the winner's choice, subject to certain conditions set out in the Official Rules.
