AgJunction Announces Changes to its Board of Directors
HIAWATHA, KS, Nov. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - Following an extensive recruitment process, AgJunction Inc. (TSX: AJX) ("AgJunction" or the "Company"), a leader in automated steering and machine control technology for precision agriculture, is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Edmonds, Lori Ell and Ryan Levenson to its board of directors effective December 1, 2016.
Scott Edmonds has over 30 years' experience in various operational, strategic and financial leadership roles in both large and small companies in Canada, Europe and Asia. Most recently Edmonds was the CEO of Webtech Wireless Inc. and was also the CFO at two other software companies. He also spent 10 years with The Walt Disney Company in France, Indonesia and Singapore.
Edmonds has served on a variety of public and private company board of directors over the past ten years, including Vecima Networks Inc., Consumer Protection BC, Webtech Wireless Inc., Apivio Systems Inc. and Bridges Transitions Inc. Edmonds holds a degree in finance and is a chartered accountant. He has also completed the Executive Development Program at The Kellogg School and has received the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Lori Ell is the Chair of TEC (The Executive Committee), where she works with CEO's from a number of different industries facilitating peer group executive sessions and offering CEO coaching. Ms. Ell was a former board member of the UFA Co-operative. In addition, as founder and current president of Growing Ideas, Ell consults with business leaders who want to better understand their core strengths, define goals and construct communication processes for strategic execution.
Prior to TEC, Ms. Ell was president of Agristar Inc., a private food processor company and CFO of Quortech Solutions Inc., a technology company. She sits on the board of directors of the Alberta Food Processors, the Canadian Food Innovators, and the Calgary Co-op. She has a bachelor of management degree, is a chartered professional accountant by training and has received the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Ryan Levenson is the founding principal, managing member and portfolio manager of Privet Fund Management LLC, the General Partner of Privet Fund LP, an equity and debt investment fund. Prior to starting Privet in 2007, and since 2003, Levenson served as vice president of business development at Lighten Up, LLC (conducting business as MSI), a privately held building products distributor and construction services company.
Prior to MSI, Levenson served as a financial analyst for Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn LLC's long/short equity hedge fund after working at SAC Capital Advisors LLC in a similar capacity. He sits on the board of directors of Frequency Electronics, Inc., Cicero Inc., and Hardinge, Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History degree from Vanderbilt University.

In addition, AgJunction announces that Mr. John M. Tye, III has retired from the board of directors.
