Agreement between Héma-Québec and three CSN unions ratified
MONTREAL, July 27 2010 /CNW Telbec/ - The agreement in principle concluded on July 6 by the management of Héma-Québec and the three CSN unions representing the Montréal facility was ratified at three general assemblies held on July 17, July 18 and July 25.
"We are very satisfied with the votes of these three general assemblies. These agreements will ensure the development of Héma-Québec and consolidate our relationships with our personnel," declared Manon Pepin, Héma-Québec spokesperson.
It should be noted that this five-year agreement follows those signed in recent weeks with the office employees represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 3807, the nurses represented by the Syndicat du personnel infirmier d'Héma-Québec (SPI-CSQ), affiliated with the Centrale des syndicats du Québec (CSQ) and the Fédération de la santé du Québec (FSQ-CSQ), as well as that signed with the nurses' union (CSN) representing the Québec facility.
Héma-Québec would like to make the most of this summer season to remind blood donors that they are expected in large numbers at blood drive sites throughout Québec: no fewer than 1000 donations are needed each day to meet the needs of hospitals.
