MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 16, 2018 /CNW/ - Air Georgian recognizes the importance of investing in the learning and development of its workforce to increase employee engagement, career growth and innovation. To this end, Air Georgian is excited to announce the creation of their Tuition Assistance Program.
"A well-rounded education coupled with continuous learning is important for the success of our organization and our employees," said Eric Edmondson, President and CEO of Air Georgian Limited.
This program provides employees with financial assistance for educational courses and programs as well as paid time off to pursue the personal and professional educational goals. Employees will be reimbursed for tuition costs for approved degree programs and certifications and professional memberships.
Paid Educational Leave
Air Georgian understands that the demands of education can be difficult while working full-time. The company will permit paid time off to pursue approved programs and courses or provide accommodations for a reduced work schedule.
Air Canada's Pilot Mobility Arrangement (PMA)
All Air Georgian pilots are guaranteed an interview with Air Canada through a PMA. Up to 40% of Air Georgian pilots will advance to Air Canada in 2018, providing the fastest path for pilots to Air Canada. As Air Canada values post-secondary education, the new tuition assistance program helps Air Georgian pilots be the best candidates possible for the Air Canada recruitment process.
