Air Georgian's SOAR Program Continues to Grow with FlyGTA Partnership
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 18, 2018 /CNW/ - Air Georgian welcomes FlyGTA Airlines as the newest member of their growing SOAR program for aviation career awareness, recruitment and retention. This partnership will provide a defined career path for FlyGTA pilots and will offer FlyGTA a transparent process for pilot attrition.
"FlyGTA provides a unique opportunity for pilot graduates. Having developed a progression program where pilots gain valuable experience in the multi-crew environment, FlyGTA has executed the missing link for the transition to airlines and aims to provide first officers and direct entry captains to Air Georgian's SOAR Program," said Chris Nowrouzi, CEO of FlyGTA at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
"We're excited to partner with FlyGTA as part of our initiative to promote aviation as a rewarding career," said Eric Edmondson, President and CEO at Air Georgian. "This partnership will allow us to support FlyGTA and their pilots by providing continued career advancement and fulfillment opportunities within the industry."
SOAR
SOAR provides partnered operators and flight schools with predictable pilot attrition and advance notice of hires. It also gives employees and students of partners visibility regarding career progression and an entry point into the Air Canada system.
Pilot Mobility Agreement (PMA)
Air Georgian is proud to have launched the careers of over 6,000 pilots during their 24 years in business. Through their partnership with Air Canada, they are part of a PMA, which guarantees all eligible pilots an interview with Air Canada.
