Airport Terminal Services and Unifor reach collective agreement - Minister Leitch congratulates both parties Français
OTTAWA, April 10, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated Airport Terminal Services Canadian Company and Unifor, Local 2002, on the renewal of their collective agreement.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The FMCS provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.

- Airport Terminal Services Canadian Company provides ground handling services to approximately 50 airports in Canada and the United States.
- The collective agreement covering approximately 200 employees working at Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Ontario, expired on August 4, 2014.
- Over the last five years, more than 94 percent of collective agreements within the federal jurisdiction were settled without a work stoppage when the FMCS was involved.
