Alberta Foodservice Expo showcases restaurant industry this weekend
CALGARY, Oct. 21 /CNW/ - On October 24 and 25, the Alberta Foodservice Expo brings together a vibrant, innovative and important industry at the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede Grounds (BMO Centre). Celebrating the province's $8.4-billion restaurant industry with 125,000 employees, the Expo offers operators new ideas, fresh strategies and leading-edge products to help grow their business.
What's cooking at the show this year?
With a variety of offerings - ranging from signature events to brand-new features - the show includes:
- an innovative product pavilion sponsored by Sysco Calgary
- a local/organic marketplace
- chef competitions and cooking demonstrations with stars such as Food Network Canada's Chef Michael Smith
- educational sessions with keynote speakers, networking breakfasts and roundtables
- an awards reception and program where four distinguished awards will be presented
- a trade show floor jam-packed with leading industry product and service providers
- Employment and Immigration Minister Thomas Lukaszuk welcoming delegates at a Monday breakfast meeting
