Wilson brought the existence of Algonquin College's campus in Saudi Arabia to the attention of OPSEU president Warren (Smokey) Thomas almost a year ago. Thomas wrote a letter to Premier Kathleen Wynne seeking an explanation for the college's dealings with a corrupt regime notorious for its human rights violations and appalling treatment of women.
"The Wynne Liberals flail and flip-flop almost daily on the issue of these Saudi campuses," said Thomas. "We've obviously touched a nerve. Jack Wilson has been following the development Algonquin's offshore gamble for years. In contrast to government flimflam, Jack will give honest answers to the questions that concerned Ontarians are asking."
