Allen-Vanguard comments on shareholder lawsuit

OTTAWA , Oct. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Allen-Vanguard Corporation ("Allen-Vanguard" or the "Company") of Ottawa , Canada today issued the following comments on a notice of action filed by a shareholder against the Company and certain of its present and former officers and directors. The Company believes this action is without merit. Company policy prohibits further comment on ongoing litigation.

The lawsuit does not alter the course of the previously announced recapitalization transaction.
