Employees and volunteers host free pancake breakfast

CALGARY, July 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Allstream, Canada's all-business communications provider, is once again proud to be participating in the Calgary Stampede as a sponsor of the Calgary Stampede Caravan Committee. The dedicated volunteers from the Caravan Committee put on the Calgary Stampede Breakfasts - a Stampede tradition for more than 85 years.

"We are always delighted to participate in the Stampede, but this year is even more meaningful given all that Calgary has endured since flooding caused so much devastation," said Dean Prevost, President, Allstream. "It's great to be back in my hometown and I look forward to getting out early tomorrow morning to provide a warm Calgary welcome along with a western pancake breakfast and entertainment for all those who attend."

The Caravan Committee will be joined by more than 50 Allstream volunteers, including President Dean Prevost and Western Sales Vice President Larry Goerzen, who together will host the Stampede Pancake Breakfast on Friday, July 5, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 303-9 Ave SE in Calgary.

"We realize how important the Stampede is to Calgary's recovery," said Larry Goerzen, Regional Vice President, Allstream. "So, it was important for Allstream to come out and support the community during this difficult time and demonstrate the resiliency that Albertans are known for."
