Stock Symbol: MBT
TORONTO, April 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Allstream, Canada's all-business communications provider has begun the year strongly with a number of new business customers choosing to connect to its Canada-wide fibre optic IP network. Allstream is the only national competitor to Bell and TELUS exclusively serving business customers with a coast-to-coast national IP fibre network.
"We are succeeding by providing better service and by being flexible and focused on what our customers want and need," said Allstream President Michael Strople. "In addition to our best-in-class national IP fibre network, part of our success has in fact been achieved by NOT acting like a traditional Canadian telco. Our team across Canada is passionate, determined and committed to providing the best service, solutions and customer experience in the industry."
Allstream signed contracts in the first quarter of 2014 with nationally recognized brands such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Mark's Work Wearhouse, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Nespresso Canada, Torstar Corporation as well as with Alterra Power Corp, Caledon Capital Management, Nexus Systems Group Inc., Ogilvie LLP, Qualcomm Technologies and Teachers Life Insurance Society.
