Allstream will participate in Défi Climat 2010

Employees involved for the third consecutive year

MONTREAL, March 10 /CNW/ - Today, Allstream (an MTS Allstream business) announces that its Montreal and Quebec City based employees will participate in Défi Climat 2010, an initiative designed to mobilize citizens to contribute to greenhouse gas emission reduction through concrete action.

"We will participate in this campaign for the third consecutive year because it is consistent with our corporate Environmental Policy and Green Plan. It provides us with an opportunity to raise our employees' awareness and mobilize them to implement a series of everyday actions that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions," said Howard Bowles, Vice President Sales, Eastern Region, Allstream. "By teaming up with all of the businesses and organizations that are partnering with this campaign in Montreal and throughout Quebec, we will increase awareness and demonstrate that our employees, customers and business partners can all take concrete steps to fight climate change."

Allstream has had upwards of 30% of its employees in Quebec participate in this important initiative in previous years. Allstream participates in the campaign as part of its commitment to support the City of Montreal's Strategic Sustainable Development Plan.
