("Alter NRG" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Alter NRG has been honoured as the recipient of the prestigious Platts award for the Green Energy Initiative of the Year. This award recognizes the business or organization that has demonstrated the strongest commitment, through a specific initiative, aimed at generating more sustainable, green and renewable energy production.
Over the past eleven years the Platt's Global Energy Awards have become a prestigious honour, recognizing those that reach beyond the status quo in the name of excellence in leadership, innovation and performance. The awards receive more than 200 nominations each year from over 30 countries including Brazil, India, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Russia, Switzerland, Argentina, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, United Kingdom and the United States. The Platts Global Energy Awards have been described by past entrants and winners as both the "World Series" and "Academy Awards" of energy.
