Leading marketer appointed managing director in Toronto
TORONTO, April 12 /CNW/ - Rapp Canada, DDB Canada's integrated database and customer relationship-marketing (CMR) group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Mitchell as managing director.
Mitchell, a leading marketing professional and team leader with over 15 years of experience, becomes part of the core management team at DDB Canada and responsible for the growth and development of the Rapp Canada brand.
"Amanda Mitchell has a tremendous reputation for bringing fresh ideas into the marketing mix, both agency and client side. She's a proven leader and a superb business strategist who is well respected by past clients and colleagues," says David Leonard, national president and chief operating officer of DDB Canada. "We welcome her to Rapp Canada and the DDB Canada team."
Most recently, Mitchell served for seven years as vice president and group account director at Grey Canada. She oversaw Masterfoods Global, Cadillac Fairview P&G and other major accounts, and developed an extensive knowledge of direct and digital advertising. Prior to her agency work in advertising, Mitchell held senior positions at Immoeuro in Holland and RE/MAX in Switzerland and helped change the way real estate was marketed. She translated the Europe and Israel multi-lingual, cultural and currency business needs into a data rich MLS system that exists today and is used by thousands of RE/MAX agents.
"While Rapp Canada is one of the most recognized brands in direct response and customer relationship management, my challenge is to bring new and exciting ways to make our clients more competitive and strengthen their brand identity through one-to-one communication," says Mitchell.
