Ambassadors Return to Toronto's Entertainment District
TORONTO, June 17, 2015 /CNW/ - The Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area's (TOED BIA) roaming Ambassadors are back again for their busiest summer yet. Beginning on June 18, 2015 the Ambassadors will be found in The District, assisting and engaging with visitors, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday summer evenings until September 12, 2015.
Businesses in The District will have an extra hand when it comes to welcoming visitors to one of the most vibrant parts of Toronto. A team of seven people, referred to as District Ambassadors, will be well briefed and trained on providing visitor assistance with wayfinding, recommendations on things to do, places to dine, among other helpful guidance to be offered to summer visitors in The District. Before taking up their positions, each District Ambassador will also participate in the online Hospitality Training offered by the City of Toronto. Annually, over 15 million visitors seek-out the Entertainment District as their primary destination for performing arts, attractions, dining and special events. It is also home to 16,000 residents and a working population of over 80,000. Toronto is the fourth largest city in North America. With the Pan Am games on the horizon and the newly opened UP Express station, District members look forward to welcoming even more visitors.
