American Creek appoints Edwards as Chief Financial Officer

RAYMOND, AB, Jan. 11 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of American Creek Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce that they have appointed Robert N. Edwards to serve as the Corporation's Chief Financial Officer effective January 1, 2010 .

Mr. Edwards , who has been serving as the Corporation's Vice President, Finance, will replace J. Christopher Mitchell , who has served as CFO since 2004. Allan Burton , President & CEO, stated: "We will all miss Chris. Over the years he has provided invaluable services to our company, and we thank him for his significant contributions and wish him well in his retirement from our company. We are pleased to see Rob step into the CFO position, and have full confidence in his abilities."

Mr. Edwards has served as Vice-President of Finance since May, 2007. He was previously employed in the public accounting field, holding positions in international and local firms in the areas of business consulting, assurance, and tax. He has owned businesses operating in land development, health care and logistics. Mr. Edwards obtained a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge and is a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Alberta.

The Board of Directors also granted stock options to acquire an aggregate of 75,000 common shares of the Corporation ("Common Shares") at an exercise price of $0.18 per Common Share under the Corporation's stock option plan to an officer of the Corporation.
