Amerlux upgrades Chaperone LED Indirect Garage Luminaire for the latest in security and safety
OAKLAND, N.J., Dec. 6, 2016 /CNW/ -- Engineered to replace inefficient garage fixtures while transforming parking facilities into safe, pedestrian friendly areas, the Amerlux Chaperone is an attractive LED Luminaire that renders old garage lights obsolete. The stylish LED luminaire reduces glare and offers the visual comfort of indirect lighting, while incorporating significant cost savings, improved performance and quality of light for owners.
"Chaperone turns dark, uncomfortable parking environments into safer and more secure spaces with elevated levels of illumination and site lines," said Amerlux CEO and President Chuck Campagna. "Crisp and attractive, Chaperone features advanced LED optics, high uniformity and quality indirect light distribution specially designed for parking areas while substantially reducing glare and elevating levels of safety, security and visibility that building owners and managers, pedestrians and motorists demand at high-level parking facilities."
This instant-on Garage Luminaire is designed to replace ceiling mounted garage fixtures as a complete LED luminaire solution that can be seamlessly integrated with many different control system options in the market today. The luminaire is designed as an ideal energy saver and lighting replacement for linear fluorescent, HPS and metal halide fixtures.
Constructed with a die cast aluminum housing for long lasting durability and a die cast aluminum heat sink for maximum thermal management, the fixture also includes a clear acrylic lens with silicone gaskets, a single LED board design for easy replacement, and an integral driver with input voltage using 120-277 Volt systems.
Chaperone is offered in 48 and 73-Watt models with a lumen output up to 5,470 lumens, in 4000K and 5000K CCTs. The standard models are dimmable with a 0-10v dimming system, and the fixture is available in Type III and Type V distributions to meet all parking garage application requirements.
Control options include a line voltage occupancy sensor that provides direct lighting control with the 0-10v LED driver. Full power is delivered when motion is detected and switches to a lower dimming level after the area is vacated. Dim levels can be manually set to 0, 10, 20, 25, 33 and 50 percent.
Standard mounting includes junction box/pendant mounting (with optional Bird Guard), and an optional trunnion mount is available as well.
Premium quality silver finish is standard but an extensive custom finish palette is also available.
ETL listed for wet locations.
