MONTREAL, Dec. 12, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, in collaboration with the Government of Quebec, presents an enhanced version of the Carrefour francisation portal www.carrefourfrancisation.com, the backbone of the one-stop francization service for companies with fewer than 50 employees.
"As part of an ongoing effort to improve the business environment in the metropolitan area, we are pleased to provide companies with a virtual link where they can find resources that will allow them to improve their productivity, their customer service, and the integration of their employees. I encourage business leaders and human resources managers to go visit our new portal, offering a wealth of information, which will introduce them to new tools that can help facilitate their francization efforts," stated Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal.
The Board of Trade improved the website to make it more interactive and to encourage greater participation. Companies can now make a self-assessment of the state of French usage in their organization and seek ways to improve it. This is in addition to the support already being offered by field agents and the resource's telephone line. The website's overall look was also streamlined in order to make information easier to understand.
This one-stop service was launched in 2010—as part of the Stratégie commune d'intervention pour Montréal 2008-2013—with the financial support of the Office québécois de la langue française and the collaboration of the Secrétariat à la politique linguistique. This initiative brings together all of the tools available to help facilitate companies' francization efforts. As the portal is the main component of the one-stop service, it had become necessary to update it.
"This initiative confirms our determination to support businesses in their francization efforts. The Board of Trade is taking concrete steps to allow them to do so in a much easier way through the personalized support offered via this new web portal," added Michel Leblanc.
The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal is made up of some 7,000 members. Its mission is to represent the interests of the business community of Greater Montréal and to provide individuals, merchants, and local businesses of all sizes with a variety of specialized services to help them achieve their full potential in terms of innovation, productivity, and competitiveness. The Board of Trade is Quebec's leading private economic development organization.
