And you, what would you do with $25 000? - Montreal: National Bank rolls out the red carpet
MONTREAL, May 30, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - What would you do with $25 000? Here is the challenge that was launched today by National Bank to over 1200 non-profit organizations (NPO) and close to 300 public elementary or high schools from the Montreal area. Until June 14th 2013, the organizations are invited to submit their inspiring youth initiatives that gravitate over three pillars of the program One for Youth, such as health, wellbeing, education and involvement, in order to receive a final support of up to $25 000. In 2013, $1 million will be donated to support the youth all across Canada. National Bank will focus on 12 One for Youth committees, from greater Montreal, responsible for discovering and supporting the talent, audacity, vision and determination from here.
"Every day hundreds of organizations and elementary and high schools support our young persons by investing their time and energy wholeheartedly. Today, we want to tell you that we are with you. And that we share this same desire to build a Canada of tomorrow that supports young persons by giving them necessary tools to fully realize themselves from birth to University", said Paul Katra, Montreal regional vice-president for National Bank .
In the greater Montreal area as elsewhere, the One for Youth committee assembles executives from National Bank, key members of the community as well as one young person under 25, who have the mandate of choosing the projects that could potentially be awarded a financial support of up to $ 25 000.
"To all the NPO that work with youth as well as with primary and elementary schools: are you full of ideas and dreams? Do you have a project for young persons of your community? Do you have a youth initiative that can make a difference for your community? We want to get to know you and give life to your biggest aspirations. Because National Bank believes in you and is proud of you" adds Paul Katra, regional vice-president, encouraging socio-economic leaders of the region to get involved and promote the program within their own network.
The NPO and elementary or public schools of these areas are invited to submit their youth initiatives to the One for Youth committee - Montreal by completing the online form www.jeunesse.banquenationale.ca/comites.
